Fifth Avenue, (from Sterling Place to 12th Street), Park Slope

The annual Fabulous Fifth Avenue Fair from the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID returns to 5th Ave between Sterling Place and 12th Street this Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 12-6pm. In addition to great opportunities for shopping, the fair features Rides, Antique automobiles, Collectibles, Jewelry, and much more.

Music at the Fair will be:

  • Full Disclosure at 200 5th between Union and Sackett from Noon
  • Seventh Heaven Blues Band at The Commissioner near Carroll from 1pm
  • A Band at Smith Tavern between 8th and 9th Streets from Noon
  • Stephen Artemis Jr at Calexico corner of 1st from Noon
  • Delorean Sisters at The Monro Pub between 11th and 12th Streets from Noon

There’s nothing like a magical night under the stars listening to music. When that experience includes one of my favorite artists appearing in one of my favorite places in the world, it’s at the top of my bucket list.

It all came to be with a simple Facebook post.

50 years ago, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the Moon.

On July 20, 1969, humans walked on another world for the first time in history, achieving the goal that President John F. Kennedy had set in 1961, before Americans had even orbited the Earth.
